Studio 525 welcomed Selkie for the New York Fashion Week debut of “The Ghost Ship,” the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection. Creative Director Kimberley Gordon transformed the Chelsea space into an apocalyptic world of rebel pirates, warrior queens, and traveling circus performers, bringing Selkie’s signature romanticism into a darker, more surreal realm.
The runway brought maritime folklore, historical fantasy, and circus imagery together through corseted silhouettes, theatrical dresses, armor-inspired pieces, chainmail, seashells, dramatic accessories, and bold prints. An acrobatic contortionist opened and closed the show, setting the tone for a presentation built around movement, spectacle, and self-expression. Against the scale and raw architecture of Studio 525, the collection became an immersive expression of Gordon’s central idea: embracing the lives we choose, and finding freedom in the paths we take.
The Ghost Ship was both a fashion presentation and a fully realized Selkie universe, with Studio 525 providing the expansive canvas for the brand’s most theatrical NYFW show yet.
